The SOMATEC ACC-S is a standard web accumulator for buffering material webs between two process steps. While one machine briefly stops — for example during roll change — the rest of the line continues running. The accumulator compensates the speed difference and prevents line downtime.

What is a web accumulator? — A web accumulator buffers material webs between two process steps. When a machine before or after the accumulator briefly stops (e.g. during roll change), the rest of the line continues — the accumulator compensates the speed difference.
When do I need an accumulator? — Whenever two process steps operate at different speeds or with different downtime. Typical: between unwinder and coating station, or between dryer and winder.
